kendra was also sweet to give some feedback for this blogpost (which is obviously wayyy overdue). here’s what she had to say:

describe your wedding day in 3 words

breathtaking, genuine, love-filled

describe your wedding day in more detail

our wedding day was absolutely perfect. i was a pretty anxious planner, wanting to make sure i had every detail figured out as i do event planning/marketing for my job, so it was basically like i was planning a work event of a lifetime! everything came together even better than expected. once the weekend arrived, i wasn't worried about any of the details or plans at all, it was magical. we had perfect weather, our guests were happy and well-fed, our dj played incredible music, and there was so much love the day of. i would endure all of the planning over again if we could relive the day. i would describe our wedding as down-to-earth, whimsical, romantic and honest.

tell us about something your wedding just HAD TO have

i was pretty adamant about having a rock star photographer and videographer.

tell us about something you could have done without or wasn’t necessary in the end

i honestly can't think of anything we could have done without! everything had a perfect place in the day, and everything really tied together nicely. maybe the one thing (but i'm still so happy we have), is our polaroid guestbook wasn't used by everyone!

tell us about your bridal style

my bridal style was probably not a typical style. i had a hard time with all of the choices available, and communicating what i wanted! pinterest and instagram were huge helps to me to save things that i liked to help communicate my vision to my vendors!

what's your advice for future brides?

my advice is to enjoy the process!! it's so hard to get wrapped up in all of the small details (and rightfully so because you're planning a huge party) ...but try to remember what the day is about! your centerpieces/candles/earrings won't determine how happy your marriage is. a beautiful wedding is nice, yes, but a beautiful marriage is more important. try to keep that in mind while planning!
